Passive Income Report Q3 2016

beer fund

Well well well, another day another dollar, I can’t believe how fast the third quarter flew by! Third quarter was crazy for me, I looked at deal after deal, lost out on a couple deals I thought were in the bag SO CLOSE, but at the end of the quarter still managed to close on one more website to add to the portfolio! If you’re interested in seeing where I started, check out my first passive income report.

Here are a couple of awesome things that happened during last quarter.

  • My son started walking at 9 months, it’s been a blast to see him grow!
  • Had my first 4 figure month $$$$!
  • Google Penguin is now real time, while some people don’t like this I do! This helps when performing due diligence on potential purchases since they won’t rank very well if they are doing things Google doesn’t like.
  • We’re going to be looking for other like minded people to join our buyers group who want to learn how to buy, sell, and invest in websites like us!

Before I get into the numbers I want to go over what I include in these reports and what I don’t.  Alright, lets get down to it.

What’s Not Included

In these reports I will include only passive income. Meaning, no income from my full time day job. Although I make a paycheck, I’m still trading hours for dollars and that’s what I’m working to get away from! I want PASSIVE, earn in your sleep income!

I’ll also not be including:

  • 401K
  • IRA”S
  • Roth IRA’s
  • Pension

Basically any accounts I would get Penalized on if I where to use them early, won’t be included.

What’s Included

In this report I will include income items that are passive and easily available to use if needed. Website income, interest income, dividend income (from non-tax penalty accounts), cash back from credit cards and whatever else blows my way!

Passive Income Q3 2016

If you’ve read my investment strategy you’ll know this is my bread and butter section and it all started when I decided to build my own website to make some extra cash. If you want to learn how to start a blog, check out my how to start a blog post. This year I’ve made great connections and am now part of a buyer network. This has helped me get into more deals, learn about areas I’m not familiar with from industry experts, diversify my risk, and meet some amazing people! Over 3nd quarter I invested in one more additional site which brings me to a total of 5 sites in my portfolio! So lets take a look at the revenue coming in from these sites.

Site 1

Q3 2016 Site 1 Traffic

Above you can see my traffic stats. It looks like the new Google Penguin update has been kind to me! Now to the numbers.

Q3 2016 Site 1 Earnings

While I did have my best month ever for this site in September ($679), the other two months were pretty average. Going into this last quarter I hope to increase the monthly revenue to a $500 dollar average. Another thing I’ve done is start tracking my affiliate link clicks to get a better understanding of my conversions and I was pleased to see I’m converting about 20% percent of my traffic. If you’re interested in setting up google tags to track conversions, check out Measure School’s YouTube channel it’s fantastic and has helped me setup everything!

Site 2

Q3 2016 Site 2 Traffic

As most of you know, this was the first site I ever purchased and the main reason for the purchase was to understand how to transfer a site after purchase. I’ve really made no changes to this site but have switch all amazon affiliate links to EazyAzon links and it has helped!

Q3 2016 Site 2 Earnings

Not a huge earner by any means but it’s passive income that I’ll take!

Site 3

Q3 2016 Site 3 Traffic

Alright this is the first site that I invested in with others. Just like the first site I purchased above this was a tester, I wanted to get my feet wet and I’m sure glad I did. We took the site over in late April and it has been doing quite well although the earnings are a little down this quarter. I don’t share a lot of information about this site since I’m not the only owner but it’s a eCommerce site which has a stand alone shop as well as a FBA (Fulfill By Amazon) shop.  My cut of the net income, aka, passive cash flow income was $457.

Site 4

Q3 2016 Site 4 Traffic

This is another site I invested in with others. This is an amazon affiliate site that is converting quite well. We were able to get a great deal on this site and after about 2 months it’s doubled it’s income! I’m hoping this isn’t due to seasonality trends but time will tell. My cut of the net earning for this site was $1179.

Site 5

This site was acquired in late September so I don’t have any income to report this quarter but I’m super excited about this deal! It helps people with a certain service online. During the due diligence process we were able to make quite a bit of sales so I’m not really sure what earnings will look like next quarter but am eagerly awaiting!

The interest I earned this quarter totaled $56.7 most of which came from my Capital One 360 high yield savings account. This is by far the easiest passive cash flow I earn. If your looking for a FREE way to save some money to invest, start with a high yield savings account. If you interested, you can sign up through this referral link Capital One 360 Savings Account and you will receive $25 if you are a new account holder and make an initial deposit of at least $250.

Please note, I’m only able to provide this to 50 people so once I have hit that mark, I will take the link down.

My dividends for third quarter were $0. While some of you know, I was considering pulling my cash out of stocks to invest in websites. Well I ended up doing that, the ROI I’m getting from website investments well exceeds stocks and dividends at this time but that doesn’t mean that will always be the case so stay tuned.

Credit Card Cash Back

Most of you have credit cards which you spend lots of money on.  If you’re anything like me, you use credit cards for most purchases each month, then pay the bill off in full at the end of the month. This way I’m taking advantage of the rewards with out paying any interest or penalties. The cash back rewards card I use is the Fidelity Investment Rewards, Visa Signature.

This quarter I received a payment of $76 into my account. My earnings were lower than usual because I’ve been doing a lot of travel and utilize a different card when that happens. Either way, it’s the best feeling in the world to know I get paid to use my credit card and it cost me nothing to do it!

Total Passive Cash Flow Q3 2016

So after a tally of the numbers, my total passive cash flow for third quarter comes to $2,982.05! This quarter has been awesome, I was able to acquire another website, received some great passive earnings from my portfolio, and am now chasing my son around because he is walking all over! Thanks for taking the time to read and would love to get your feedback on my progress, or better yet, if you have any good ideas for passive cash flow, or are interested in learning about buying and selling cash flowing websites!

  • Wow $3k in pasive cash flow for the month is incredible. I am definitely going to need to check out google penguin as I am not familiar with it and I too would love to make passive dollars while I sleep 🙂

    • Cash Flow Addict says:

Thanks and I too wish I made 3k a month but that was for third quarter (July, August, September). But with my plans in place I hope to be making that in the next year or so!
